Google+ versus facebook

Google+ is a combination of Twitter and Facebook. Google+ has more features than any other social networks. It's been perceived as a fierce competitor in the social network industry. However, many people question about its effectiveness. I myself is a fan of Facebook and I think Google+ has too many features. Nearly everyone has a Facebook account. Facebook is now dominating in social networking with 750 million users and is still increasing. Google is still beta limited version and its traffic has dropped. This is not a good sign to Google+. There are many issues for Google+. People must use their real name and it only allows individual profiles. Google+ claims that it offers better privacy and is more better and easier to use than Facebook.

These are the articles I read about Google+:

What do you think about Google+? A failure or success?

  2. Hi Mary

I think being that it is still in the early stages, we will see a lot of criticism and up and down stats, but saying that, I think G+ will work. I think of the many email accounts I've had over the years and the only one (other than my work and student email accounts) that I now have is a gmail account. Saying that, my work and student email accounts have now also moved to google mail. So I think as they iron out the kinks, G+ will work. But perhaps slower than many would have expected.

  3. Well done Mary. I think we'll all need plenty of convincing that G+ is better than fb. It will be interesting to see how Google try and get us?

  4. So much time invested, and so many connections developed in FB, maybe it will be too difficult for many to change. Only time will tell!

  5. I am tempted to say that it will work as well. I remember in the early days of facebook that they said they wanted to become the next myspace. With the introduction of Google+, they might just be. =D
